THE A380 South Devon Highway has been closed in both directions near Kingskerswell following a serious road traffic collision this morning.

The incident was first reported just before 5am on Thursday, August 13, with the southbound carriageway initially closed between Torquay Road and A3022 Hamelin Way.

A further update at confirmed that both northbound and southbound lanes are now closed between Kingskerswell and Edginswell.

Drivers are being urged to avoid the area and find an alternative route while emergency services deal with the incident.

The full extent of the collision, including any injuries, has not yet been confirmed.
