THE northbound carriageway of the A38 has reopened after a two-vehicle crash caused significant delays near Chudleigh Knighton this morning.

Devon and Cornwall Police were called to the collision at around 10.20am on Wednesday, October 7.

One person was taken to hospital with injuries not believed to be life-threatening or life-changing.

The northbound carriageway was blocked between the Chudleigh Knighton and Kingsteignton turn-offs while emergency services attended the scene.

Local road closures were also put in place, with motorists facing long delays in the area.

The vehicles involved were later recovered and the road reopened at around 12.30pm.

Motorists were advised to allow extra time for their journeys while traffic returned to normal.
