POLICE are asking witnesses to come forward after a crash near Exeter Airport left a woman dead.

Officers were called at around 12:05pm on Sunday, August 3 to reports of the collision involving a Blue BMW 5 Series Saloon on the A30 westbound slip road for Exeter Airport, at Clyst Honiton.

Sadly, the passenger in the vehicle – a woman in her 30s from Plymouth – was declared deceased at the scene.

The male driver, who is also from Plymouth and in his 30s, was taken to hospital having suffered serious injuries.

Their next of kin are aware.
