THERE will be CrossCountry services between Newton Abbot and Paignton this Saturday following the suspension of planned industrial action.
Customers of the train operator are being advised that a normal timetable will be reinstated this Saturday, December 6 following the suspension of industrial action by the RMT union.
A normal CrossCountry service is now expected to operate on Saturday 6, 13, 20 and 27 December – though planned engineering work will mean changes to some journeys.
CrossCountry’s Managing Director, Shiona Rolfe, said: ‘We are pleased that RMT has called off planned strike action throughout December, and we look forward to welcoming passengers on board to take them into the festive season.
‘We aim to run our normal timetable on Saturday, but the short time available to reinstate services means there may be some short-notice cancellations’.
