The total amount of fines issued for these offences was £87,157, the FOI request shows.
131 drivers received more than one fine for parking in a disabled space without eligibility in 2024.
The top five locations for violations in 2024 were all in Exeter: Southernhay; Bailey Street; Rougemont Place; Musgrave Row and North Street.
Last year’s figure was slight higher than in 2023 when there were 2370 violations, which netted DCC a total of £81,838 in fines.
