GUESTS, staff and supporters at a Teignbridge holiday park have raised more than £14,000 for Rowcroft Hospice.
Fund-raising events at Cofton Holidays near Dawlish have included puppuccinos, Bingo Beats and a coast path challenge.
And final amount raised £14,011.91 will help fund - care for eight hospice patients at home.
The milestone total exceeds the £10,000 target by 40 per cent.
Cofton brought people together through a series of creative and engaging fundraising events.
These included a car wash, puppuccino stand, cake sale, and a sponsored walk from Rowcroft to Cofton Holidays along the South West Coast Path, alongside team participation in the Torbay Half Marathon.
Celebratory events also played a key role, with funds raised during Cofton’s 50th anniversary fun day, Bingo Beats evenings, a stand at Dawlish Celebrates Carnival, and a dog show held during the Cofton’ American Car Show weekend.
The fundraising efforts reflect the spirit of the partnership, which was created to support Rowcroft’s vital work providing care and support to people living with life-limiting illnesses and their families across South Devon.
Rowcroft Hospice relies heavily on donations and community fundraising to continue delivering its specialist care, both in patients’ homes and at its inpatient unit.
Lisa Whittaker, Corporate Fundraiser at Rowcroft Hospice, said: ‘We are incredibly grateful to everyone at Cofton Holidays, as well as their guests and the wider community, for their fantastic support.
‘It was a real pleasure to join the Cofton team on the walk along the South West Coast Path, which was such a special way to bring people together for this cause.
‘To raise over £14,000 is an amazing achievement and will make a real difference to the patients and families we care for across South Devon.
‘The incredible £14,000 raised is enough to fund care for eight patients through our Hospice at Home team, enabling them to spend their final days in the comfort and peace of their own home, surrounded by loved ones and treasured pets and belongings.
‘Partnerships like this are vital in helping us continue to provide our services free of charge, and we’re so proud to be working together.’
Helen Scott, director at Cofton Holidays, said: ‘When we launched our partnership with Rowcroft Hospice, we set ourselves a target of £10,000, so to have raised over £14,000 is something we are incredibly proud of.
‘As a family-run business, supporting our local community is at the heart of everything we do.
‘We’ve seen first-hand the difference Rowcroft makes to families across South Devon, and this was our way of giving something back.
‘It’s been amazing to see our team, guests and local community come together and support such an important cause.’
