DRIVERS in Newton Abbot faced delays during this morning’s rush-hour following an accident near Penn Inn Roundabout.

A section of the A380 was partially blocked today, Thursday, July 2, after reports of a two-vehicle collision on the A381 Torquay Road.

Police were called at around 8am.

The incident caused slow traffic and disruption in the area.

No injuries were reported and the road was cleared shortly after 9am.

Elsewhere, the northbound carriageway of the A38 near Kennford experienced delays later in the morning due to a broken-down vehicle.

The incident affected traffic between Telegraph Hill and the M5 from 11am to around midday, resulting in slow-moving traffic and a partial blockage while recovery work took place.
