DAWLISH Indoor Bowling Club brought the 2024/25 season to a celebratory close with a joyful and well-attended presentation evening at the Langstone Cliff Hotel.
The event was a chance to recognise the achievements of members, both on and off the green, and to thank everyone who contributed to a successful and enjoyable season. It was expertly organised by Colin Parker, Steph Cheshire and Debs Kettley, whose hard work and determination ensured that the night ran smoothly.
Members and guests gathered to enjoy a delicious meal, followed by the much-anticipated awards ceremony. Trophies were presented across a range of competitions including singles, pairs, triples and mixed events.
There was a wonderful spirit of camaraderie throughout the evening, highlighting the friendly and inclusive nature of the club. In speeches, thanks were also extended to the volunteers, committee members, and everyone who helps behind the scenes throughout the year - from those who run competitions to those who make the teas and maintain the club facilities.
Special moments were shared between playing partners and team members, and it was particularly heartening to see the support and appreciation shown between members.
As the evening drew to a close, there was a real sense of pride and togetherness. Dawlish Indoor Bowling Club continues to thrive thanks to its strong community spirit, enthusiastic members and a shared love for the game.
With the season now behind them, members are already looking forward to what the next one will bring - with new challenges, new friendships, and, of course, plenty more bowling.
