A TREE in Dawlish has become another victim of Storm Henk.

There were reports this morning of the fallen tree which was partially blocking Secmaton Lane at the Sainsbury’s end of the road.

While it was accessible any pedestrians, cars were unable to pass.

A Yellow weather warning remains in place for the south west.

The Met Office said a spell of rain is expected to move northeast across southern and eastern parts of England on Thursday, clearing during Thursday night. It says the further speed of rain falling onto saturated ground, may lead to further flooding and travel disruption.

The track of the heaviest rainfall remains very uncertain, but there is a chance of 20 to 30 mm falling across a portion of the warning area, with a few places perhaps seeing 40 to 50 mm.

Impacts are more likely due to the current very wet ground across the region.
