ENGINEERS are working on a fault underground power cable in Dawlish.
Work to repair the fault has meant two-way traffic lights are in operation on Iddesleigh Terrace between Exeter Road and The Strand.
The lights have been causing traffic hold-ups in the area, described as ‘chaos’.
But the work is urgent and is expected to be completed by Friday.
A spokesman for National Grid Electricity Distribution said: ‘We are undertaking urgent repairs on a faulty underground power cable in Dawlish and as a result, temporary traffic lights are in operation.
‘We are making good progress and work should be completed by Friday at the latest.
'We apologise for any inconvenience being caused.’
