TWO people have been arrested for immigration offences following a raid of a South Devon hotel.

On Wednesday, December 3, Officers from Torquay Neighbourhood Policing Team, alongside Immigration personnel, executed a warrant on the premises, arresting two people.

While in the hotel, officers noticed a strong smell of cannabis, which resulted in a bag of the suspected drug being found in one of the hotel rooms.

A spokesperson for the team said: ‘The execution of this warrant stemmed from concerns raised by the local community in relation to this hotel.

‘We would like to thank you for the continued information you provide to us, that allows us too target illegal activity.

‘The investigation in relation to the hotel is still ongoing’.
