Members of The Rotary Club of Teignmouth will be hitting the streets again today in fundraising support of the people of war-torn Ukraine.

Rotarian Heather Horner reports: ‘We wanted to do something to help the people of the Ukraine so we were out in Teignmouth on Friday and Saturday last week, collecting funds to send to the Ukraine via Rotary Great Britain and Ireland and Rotary International who will distribute the much needed funds to Rotary clubs in Ukraine and nearby countries.

‘We would like to say a very big thank you to everyone for their generous donations.

‘Over the two days we raised in excess of £2,000.

‘All money raised will go to the appeal and we will also claim Gift Aid on all funds received which will add an additional 25% to the amount collected before forwarding the funds to Rotary International.

‘We will be out in the town again this weekend should anyone wish to make a donation.
