STUDENTS across Teignbridge have been eagerly open their A level results envelopes today.

After years of hard work and months of anticipation, the anxious wait is now over.

Schools and colleges have been open this morning for students to meet and collect their results.

Matthew Shanks, CEO of Education South West said: ‘Congratulations to all of our students receiving their A level and post-16 results today.

‘These qualifications represent the culmination of years of perseverance and personal growth, and I hope every student takes a moment to reflect on just how far they have come.

‘Whether they are progressing to university, higher apprenticeships, employment or another exciting pathway, they leave us with the knowledge, skills and confidence to make a positive contribution to the world around them.’

Executive Headteacher at South Dartmoor sixth form Jen Veal said: ‘I am incredibly proud of our Year 13 students.

‘It is wonderful to see them now ready to take their next steps with such confidence, whether that is at university, in specialist training, or through other exciting opportunities.’

Meanwhile Devon County Council’s Employment and Youth Hubs, including one in Newton Abbot, will be available to help.

Councillor Simon Clist, Devon County Council Cabinet Member with responsibility for employment and skills, said: ‘Good luck to everyone receiving their A-Level, AS-Level, T-Level, and BTEC results or GCSE results next week.

‘It can be an anxious moment.

‘But we strongly believe that exam results are only a snapshot in time. They do not define who you are or determine your future career path.

‘I would encourage everyone to remember that our Employment and Youth Hubs are here to help.

‘They offer an excellent service which is available to anyone aged 16 and over, with no upper age limit, across Devon.

‘Our experienced teams take the time to listen to each individual, helping them explore their options at a pace that feels right for them. We focus on the question of ‘what next?’ rather than putting pressure on people to make a lifelong decision. Today's workforce is constantly changing, and many people will move between different jobs, careers, and sectors throughout their lives.
