Teignbridge's motorists will have eight road closures to avoid nearby on the National Highways network this week.

And one of them is expected to cause moderate delays – with drivers facing a wait of between 10 and 30 minutes.

The latest expected works list, with notes from National Highways, shows that eight closures are due to start this week:

A30, from 8pm March 14 to 6am March 15, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A38 eastbound, Wobbly Wheel (A379) to M5, junction 31 carriageway closure for structure maintenance, diversion for M5 traffic via A379 to M5, junction 30, diversion for A30 traffic via A379 to the Devon Hotel, B3213, Trusham Road, Marsh Green Road West and A377 to Alphington junction.

A30, from 8pm March 15 to 6am March 16, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A30 eastbound, Alphington to M5, junction 31 carriageway closure for structure maintenance, diversion via A377, Cowick Lane, Marsh Green Road West, Trusham Road, B3213 and A379, north for M5 and south for A38.

A38, from 8pm March 15 to 6am March 16, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M5 southbound, junction 31 lane closures for structure maintenance.

A38, from 7pm March 16 to 6am March 18, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): A38 eastbound, Goodstone exit slip road closure for carriageway improvements, diversion via A38 eastbound to Drumbridges, A382 and A383.

A38, from 8pm March 16 to 6am March 17, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M5 both directions, junction 31 lane closures for structure maintenance.

A38, from 7pm March 17 to 6am March 18, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A38 westbound, Chudleigh convoy working for resurfacing.

A38, from 7pm March 20 to 6am March 23, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A38 eastbound, Linhay to Goodstone lane closures for, junction improvement works. Local authority, junction closed, eastbound, diversion via A38 Goodstone. Westbound, diversion via Linhay and return to Goodstone to exit.

A30, from 8pm March 20 to 6am March 22, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A30 eastbound, Woodleigh to Ide mobile lane closure for surveys.

National Highways is responsible for maintaining motorways and major A-roads, so closures of smaller roads will not be included in their schedule.
