DIGNITARIES from the district, as well as members of the public, gathered at Forde House on Monday for Teignbridge District Council’s (TDC) formal announcement of the accession of His Majesty, King Charles III.

The Union Flag on the roof of Forde House was raised for the duration of the proclamation, which was read out by the chairman of Teignbridge District Council Cllr Charles Nuttall and coincided with all the district proclamations across Devon.

Among those invited to the Teignbridge proclamation were all members of the council, senior council officers, Teignmouth Harbour Master, Representative of the Royal British Legion, HM Coroner, Royal Navy representative, the Devon and Somerset fire commander, local town and parish council chairs and mayors from across the district.
