A NEWTON Abbot restaurant’s charity event has raised more than £800 for the Fire Fighters Charity.

Throughout July, August and September, Orsino Lounge raised £858 for the charity, which provides life-long care and support for the UK’s fire family.

A crew from Newton Abbot Fire Station attended the restaurant's final fundraiser in September, bringing one its fire engines for all the public to see.

‘We would like to say a massive thank you for all their efforts and would like to wish them all the best raising more funds for their next chosen charity’, said a spokesperson for Newton Abbot Fire Station.

In addition to touring the fire engine, children’s games and biscuit decorating was also on offer.
