IT’S TIME for you to nominate somone for the 2023 Dawlish Community Awards.
There are three categories for the awards run by Dawlish Town Council:
• Individual – youth under 18 years of age.
• Individual – adult over 18 years of age.
• Organisation.
To be eligible, the person or group nominated must have fulfilled at least one of the following:
• Made a material contribution to the advancement, wellbeing and welfare of the people of Dawlish.
• Supported charitable work carried out in the Parish.
• Assisted the work of the Town Council in a voluntary capacity.
• Demonstrated outstanding citizenship.
All nominations will be received by the Civic Amenities committee who will make a recommendation for the award winners to the town council. The Dawlish Community Awards will be presented during the annual meeting of the town council in May.
The deadline by which to submit a nomination is Tuesday 1st March 2023.
Cllr Lisa Mayne, the Mayor of Dawlish is encouraging applications to the Dawlish Community Awards 2023.
She said: ‘I’m delighted that the categories for the awards now include nominations for those under 18 years old as many young people do outstanding community and charity work in the parish.
‘We hope that by the awards also being renamed this year it will encourage even more nominations for organisations and individuals to be considered for an award.’
