A PROLIFIC shoplifter has been jailed for more than 30 weeks.

Aaron Edwards, 44, appeared before Plymouth Magistrates' Court in December after being charged with 19 counts of shoplifting.

Edwards, of Torquay, was convicted of shoplifting, possession of cocaine, and assault by beating.

He was jailed for 34 weeks.
