PLANS for a new Timpson pod have been submitted by a Dawlish supermarket.
The Exeter Road Sainsbury’s is seeking to erect a small retail concession pod in its carpark.
The pod, which will be occupied by Timpson, will be located south west of the food store
The area is currently used as parking spaces, of which three will be removed to make way for the proposed Timpson pod.
The concession pod will have a gross internal floor space of approximately 15 square metres and will comprise of a customer counter and waiting area, with the staff working in the area behind the counter.
There will be a new zebra crossing, as well as bollards to surround and protect the site and those that use it.
The covering letter for 25/00777/FUL says that the addition of a Timpson's concession pod at the food store will ‘provide ancillary facilities for existing customers, enabling them to access dry cleaning, key cutting, engraving, and watch repair services whilst shopping at the store.’
Teignbridge District Council’s planning portal gives July 3 as the target date for a decision to be made on 25/00777/FUL
