‘THANK you for every visit, every smile and every shared moment’, says a Newton Abbot café owner as she retires after nearly 30 years.
After 29 years of serving coffee, cakes, scones, foods and making memories, the time has come for The Country Table Café’s Karen Brady to begin a new chapter in her life - retirement.
‘This café has been so much more than just a place to eat and drink’, says Karen.
‘It has become a home, a meeting place and most of all, a community.
‘Over the years, I have had the privilege of watching families grow, friendships form and regulars becoming friends.
‘We are so grateful to the fantastic staff we have employed over the years’, added Karen.
‘These brilliant staff have been the backbone of our business, and we have been immensely proud of them all.
‘I want to express my deepest gratitude to our all of our customer's for your support, loyalty and kindness.
‘Without you, none of this would have been possible.
‘Thank you for every visit, every smile and every shared moment’, says Karen.
And though Karen is stepping away from the counter, customers can feel safe in the knowledge that nothing will change - no food changes - no staff changes - as Karen’s sister, Julie, who has worked alongside her for 28 years will be taking over.
Julie will be at the helm, with a little help from husband Mark.
‘Myself and my husband Alan wish them both luck and happiness in their new venture in The Country Table Café’, says Karen.
‘I leave with a full heart and sincere appreciation for the journey we have shared.
‘I will carry these memories with me forever’, added Karen.
For those wanting to say good bye, Karen will be in the café from 9.30 to 2.30pm on August 4 to August 8.
