KENTON Parish Council has raised no objection to plans for four new homes on land in the centre of the village.

The outline application - reference 26/00401/OUT - is seeking permission to build the properties at land at Shambles on Fore Street.

Planning documents say the development is likely to comprise a mix of semi-detached and detached three and four-bedroom homes.

The greenfield site already has planning permission for three homes after an earlier application was approved by Teignbridge Council.

The latest proposal would increase that number to four.

Access to the development would be via the existing entrance from Fore Street, which has previously been approved as safe and suitable.

Teignbridge Council are due to make a decision by September 15.
