A NEWTON Abbot man has denied two charges of assault.

Charlie Brad Trendall, aged 24, of Greenaway Road, has pleaded not guilty to assaulting a woman in Newton Abbot by beating. He also denies assaulting a man causing him actual bodily harm.

South and West Devon Magistrates' Court remanded him on unconditional bail until April 28 for a trial.
