A MAN must be electronically monitored after admitting an assault on another male in Kingskerswell on New Year’s Day.

Baine Joseph Lennon Pearce, aged 28, whose address was given as c/o the probation service in Torquay, admitted assaulting the male by beating himin Kingskerswell on January 1 of 2022.

A community order was made by South and West Devon Magistrates' Court meaning Pearce must comply with electronic monitoring until July 3 of this year. He must also comply with an activity requirement of 25 days.

Pearce was ordered to pay compensation of £200 and a further £200 compensation for an offence that was taken into consideration by the court.

He must also pay £300 costs to the Crown Prosecution Service and £114 to fund victim services.

The court stated this was an urgent result due to it being a domestic violence case.
