The Teignmouth Mayor Cllr Peter Williams and his wife, Cllr Kate Williams, are seen admiring one of the paintings by Society artist Kath Loram during their visit to the Teignmouth Art Society Spring Exhibition at the Victoria Hall Shaldon.
The Mayor said that it was one of the best exhibitions that he had seen by the society and admired the quality of the artwork .
The sections were judged by Shelley Noble of Words and Pictures, Teignmouth, with awards being made to the following members: Best miniature (Haddleton Award ) – winner, Amanda Lyon-Smith; commended, Jayne Farleigh .
Best portrait (Marjorie Matthews Tankard) – winner, Ann Lunn; commended, Jennifer Jenkins.
Best flowers (Margaret Howell Award) – winner, Bee Inch; commended, Patricia Ferns.
The society was pleased to be welcoming back so many visitors and the exhibition continues until 5pm on Sunday, June 6.
