KINGSTEIGNTON is getting prepared for Remembrance Day and the members of Post Meridian WI have been busy putting together their decorations.

A spokesman said: ‘A huge Thank You to the lovely ladies from the former Kingsteignton Post Meridian W.I. who have once again kindly decorated The Fountain with their knitted creations, to remember the fallen for the forthcoming Kingsteignton Act of Remembrance.’

WI spokesman Pam Laing said: ‘We are pleased to once again stage our tribute to the fallen by poppy dressing the Fountain area in Kingsteignton.’

Remembrance Day in the town on Sunday November 9 will see the procession leave from Kingsteignton Royal British Legion on Longford Lane at 9.30am following the route to St Michael’s Church for the service at 10a,

The Service of Remembrance will the move outside to the war memorial for readings, the laying of wreathes and the Last Post.
