A LABRADOR that broke its leg while walking in Dart Gorge was successfully rescued by Dartmoor Search and Rescue Team.
The Ashburton detachment of the rescue charity were called into action on Monday afternoon [April 28].
Twenty members participated in the rescue of Cocoa, an elderly brown Labrador, who, alongside her owner, were located in a remove part of Dart Gorge, around a kilometre downstream from Dartmeet.
‘Cocoa was evacuated by stretcher to Dartmeet, where her owner then drove to a local vet’ the Ashburton team, who stood down from the incident just before 6pm, said.
