GENEROUS customers of the One Stop convenience store in The Strand have contributed £240 towards the care and upkeep of all the waterfowl in the aviary and on the Brook.
Don Phillips, the senior waterfowl warden and the mayor of Dawlish, Cllr Val Mawhood, popped in to the shop to collect the cheque from Tina Haywood.
Mayor Val said: ‘I’m delighted to accept the cheque on behalf of the town council.’
