HOME Bargains has submitted plans to satisfy the flood warning condition of its approved application in the latest chapter of the discount retailer’s planned relocation.
Submitted by TJ Morris Limited, trading as Home Bargains, 25/01434/FUL sought permission for a ‘comprehensive package of works’ to Units 2 and 3 of Newton Road Retail Park, currently occupied by Pavers and Matalan respectively, to create a new, single retail unit.
In October, Teignbridge District Council (TDC) granted planning permission, albeit subject to some further conditions, namely the submission of a Flood Warning and Evacuation Plan.
And a Flood Warning and Evacuation Plan has now been submitted - reference 25/01434/COND1.
‘We aim to issue a decision on your application on or before January 13, 2026’, TDC said in its acknowledgment letter.
The submission of a Flood Warning and Evacuation Plan brings Home Bargains’ planned relocation that little bit closer to becoming a reality.
