‘As a Lead School, we will play a key role in broadening access to musical experiences, raising standards in teaching and learning, and promoting progression pathways for young musicians.

‘We are honoured that our school’s outstanding music provision has been acknowledged in this way.

‘Music is an integral part of our curriculum and school culture, with pupils enjoying opportunities to participate in singing groups and ensembles, instrumental lessons, productions and performances, and creative composition.

‘Becoming a Lead School gives us the exciting opportunity to work closely with other schools across the region - sharing expertise, supporting professional development, and helping to inspire and raise the profile of music education in Devon and beyond.

‘We look forward to collaborating with the Devon Music Education Hub and our partner schools to further enhance our music offer and to ensure music continues to thrive.’
