A FORMER pub in a Devon village could become flats as an application is submitted to planners.

The application - reference 25/01958/FUL - is seeking permission to convert the Lamb Inn, Longdown into several self-contained flats.

Under the proposal, the pub and existing two flats will be turned into five flats, two on the ground floor, two on the first floor and one in the roof space.

Parking would be provided in the former public house car park to the rear of the building.

‘The benefits are the improvements to the building, increased employment opportunities during the build phase and small dwellings for sale or rent which are in limited supply in the Longdown area’, the planning statement for 25/01958/FUL says.

Teignbridge District Council are due to make a decision by February 2, 2026 at the latest.
