TRAINING was the name of the game for one fire crew in Teignbridge this week.

Firefighters from Buckfastleigh Fire Station first attended a refresher course on the Incident Command Vehicle, which is based in Totnes.

The vehicle is used as a command point at larger incidents.

Following this course, which the station described as ‘really beneficial‘, the crew completed Road Traffic Accident training during its weekly drill night.

A spokesperson for the fire station said: ‘We are still recruiting and would love to meet like minded persons who would enjoy being part of a close knit team whilst earning an income.

‘Either contact us through Facebook or drop in to the station on a Tuesday night between 7pm and 9pm’.
