A WEEKEND of family fun kicks off today in Teignmouth in support of the town’s air show.
The Family Fun Weekend starts tonight with Decades on the Den, from 6pm featuring hits and tribute acts from the decades.
Tomorrow and Sunday, it’s two days of entertainment, live music, stalls, games and refreshments between 10am and 3pm.
Entry is free.
A spokesman said: ‘Our volunteer committee have been hard at work on The Den this week getting ready for the fantastic line up of family fun and live music this weekend.
The rain hasn’t dampened our spirits and we are at the final push to get ready.
Thank you to al those who have helped, it’s greatly appreciated.’
Decades on the Den continues on Saturday and Sunday evenings.
Saturday also features the World Tai Chi day and Sunday will see dancers from Diddi Dance taking part.
Bands performing over the weekend include Double Trouble, Danni B, Circle Squared and Chemical Dance.
Teignmouth Airshow’s volunteer committee has been successful in their bid to have the world famous RAF Red Arrows display for the July event.
Also flying will be the RAF Typhoon and Lancaster along with civilian aircraft displays.
Teignmouth Airshow attracts in the region of 30,000 spectators, taking place over the first weekend in July with live music, aircraft displays and a classic car rally. The event is the largest free event in Teignbridge.
