ABBOTSBURY Church in Newton Abbot opened it doors this morning, welcoming people to come and watch Queen Elizabeth II’s funeral among company.
Among those who attended was Emma Williams who shared her thoughts on the late monarch.
Emma said: ‘The thing that stands out to me is that she was never afraid to talk about her faith and what it means to her and how it influences what she stood for and how she tried to lead and help the country.
‘She was amazingly humble and servant hearted and she thought about other people before herself, her life was not always straight forward, I don’t think, but through all of that, through all the turmoil, that was what she stood for.
‘It was an amazing constance that wasn’t showy but every time you looked to her you got that sense of strength which was amazing.’
