CHILDREN at a Dawlish primary school have been marking No Mow May by planting wildflower seeds.

The youngsters at Westcliff Primary were given the seeds by housing developer Taylor Wimpey to be planted in green areas at the school.

Julie Vowden, senior administrator at West Cliff Primary Academy said: 'Our pupils were really excited to receive this donation and plant new seeds.

‘It’s the perfect time of year for such an activity and we’d like to thank Taylor Wimpey for the donation.

‘Green spaces in our school are a really important part of the children’s learning.

‘We’re keen to see the flowers bloom which will hopefully attract even more wildlife.’
