FIREFIGHTERS based in Newton Abbot will once again be raising money for a charity close to their hearts by holding a car wash fundraiser.

The crew from Newton Abbot Fire Station will be raising money for The Firefighters Charity on Saturday, April 4.

Crew will be on hand at the town’s station off Balls Corner roundabout from 9.30am.

The Firefighters Charity offers specialist, lifelong support for members of the UK fire service.

A spokesperson for the station said: ‘The car wash is always good fun for everyone involved and better still, all funds raised go directly to the Fire Fighters Charity, an organisation that supports firefighters and their families during their times of need’.
