AN application for up to 50 homes on the edge of Newton Abbot has been submitted to planners.
Submitted by Rubix Strategic Limited, the application - reference 25/01844/MAJ - is seeking permission for 50 homes at land off Buckland Road.
Of the 50 proposed dwellings, eight are earmarked as affordable.
The application also includes provision for public open space, landscaping, sustainable urban drainage and engineering work.
Teignbridge District Council are expected to make a decision on 25/01844/MAJ by no later than January 2026.
‘The development will positively contribute to the growth of the local economy by delivering new homes’, the design and access statement for 25/01844/MAJ says.
‘The physically unconstrained nature of the land and its lack of environmental designations allows development to come forward within a short timeframe’, the statement goes on to say.
