MAGISTRATES have ordered a Dawlish man to carry out 160 hours of unpaid work.

Christopher Margrie, 29, of Brunswick Cottages, pleaded guilty to three charges when he appeared in court.

He admitted causing criminal damage to a police van cell worth £90 on February 14.

He was ordered to pay compensation of £90, a victim surcharge of £95 and prosecution costs of £85.

He also pleaded guilty to causing between £100 and £200 damage to a Vauxhall Astra on the same date.

For that offence, he was ordered to pay more compensation of £100.

And on February 14, he admitted assaulting Nigel Bradley by beating and the court ordered he pay a further £100 in compensation.
