COVID cases have fallen by more than 20 per cent but there have been two deaths according to the latest Government figures.

Between May 4 and 10 May 2022, 153 people had a confirmed positive test result in Teignbridge. This shows a decrease of -23.1% compared to the previous seven days.

Between the same dates the district recorded two deaths within 28 days of a positive coronavirus test.

The Torbay and South Devon NHS Foundation Trust reports there were 12 patients in hospital with coronavirus on May, none of them was on a mechanical ventilator.

The number of tests carried out continues to fall since restrictions were lifted at the start of April.

In Teignbridge between May 3 and 9, there have been 6,493 tests. This shows a decrease of -14.9% compared to the previous seven days
