COVID cases have fallen again in Teignbridge according to the latest Government figures after a sharp rise was recorded in the previous figures.

Between April 21 and 27, 287 people had a confirmed positive test result, this shows a decrease of -37.7% compared to the previous seven days.

But there have been six deaths recorded in the district during the same period.

Overall the number of tests conducted have been reducing since free testing was ended at the start of April.

Between April 20 and 26, there have been 7,910 tests. This shows a decrease of -10.8% compared to the previous seven days.

The Torbay and South Devon NHS Foundation Trust reports there were 41 patients in hospital with coronavirus on April, none of them was on a mechanical ventilator.
