MAGISTRATES have remanded a man in custody charged with entering a house, stealing items and subjecting a man inside with threats of violence.

Zahi Fakih, 33, of Tamworth Close, Ogwell, is accused of entering the property, also in Tamworth Close, jointly with Lucy Hanks, on April 9 2022.

He is charged with stealing three cartons of orange juice, a bottle of Lucozade, mobile phone, leather wallet containing bank cards and cash, a watch, two bottles of Methodone, two necklaces and one ring.

The offence is alleged to have involved subjecting a person in the property with threats of violence.

Fakih has pleaded not guilty and was remanded in custody for trial at Exeter Crown Court.

Fakih also admitted breaching a domestic violence protection order made by Exeter magistrates on April 4 2022 for which he was fined £50.
