PLANS have been submitted to change the Congregational Chapel in Yon Street, Kingskerswell, into a three-bedroom home.

The proposal, submitted by a Sutton Coldfield person through a Newton Abbot agent, follows its sale earlier this year where it was offered in the region of £140k.

The plan proposes to change the property into a three-bedroomed home. The current redundant schoolroom will become two bedrooms, one with en suite WC. The owners plan to change both the interior and exterior, and to refurbish elements of the entire building. There will be necessary repairs to the exterior, but no structural changes.

There will be a gallery with associated staircase in the main hall. The existing utility room will become a bathroom and the main hall will become a kitchen/diner, with lounge area beneath the mezzanine.

The vestibule will remain as it is.

Part of the car park will be used to create a garden space. This will be planted. as a continuation of the borders already planted by the bypass mitigation measures.
