A Dawlish holiday park has invested £90,000 in state of the art gym equipment in its spa and leisure suite.

It means the gym at the Cofton Holidays site has doubled in size with the investment in new machinery, cable cross-over cardio machines with screens linking to Technogym classes, a step machine, leg-press and a low-rowing machine for strength and lateral pull-downs.

The leisure complex is open to park residents and locals, and the gym, which is eco-friendly and powered by a 30Kw solar panel system on the roof of the complex, has been extended, with new state-of-the-art Technogym equipment, improved facilities and upgraded interior design.

Director Helen Scott said: “Our indoor leisure complex is the beating heart of Cofton, our guests spend a great deal of time here.

“With that in mind, we wanted to create a health and fitness hub for local visitors and guests to enjoy in a friendly, welcoming space with a bigger gym, new equipment and incorporated spa treatment rooms for guests to unwind after a workout.”

After a session in the gym visitors can go for a swim in the solar-heated indoor pool with hydrotherapy loungers, sauna and steam rooms, or take their workout to the next level with a customised personal trainer session or fitness class.

With top-of-the-line Technogym equipment, knowledgeable staff and a diverse range of fitness classes, gym goers can achieve their goals whether they are looking to lose weight, gain strength or just improve overall health and wellbeing.

Set within 80 acres of Devon countryside, Cofton Holidays has been a family-run holiday park for over 40 years.
