A BANNED driver from Kingsteignton has been fined £507.

James David Thomas Chappell, aged 38, of Newcross Park, pleaded guilty to driving a Vauxhall Antara on Gestridge Road, Newton Abbot, while disqualified from holding or obtaining a driving licence.

As well as the fine his licence was endorsed with six penalty points. He must also pay £85 to the Crown Prosecution Service and £203 to fund victim services.

No separate penalty was imposed on a charge of driving without insurance, which Chappell admitted.
