THE A38 West on Haldon Hill was closed earlier this evening (Sunday) following a crash leaving people trapped.

A Fire Control Spokesperson has said: ‘Fire control received multiple reports to and RTC at Haldon Hill.’

This was shortly after 4pm.

‘Fire control immediately mobilised tree fire appliances two from Exeter Middlemore and one from Danes Castle in Exeter. 

‘The road is currently closed and we expect it to remain this way for some time.’
