POLICE have issued a ‘gentle reminder’ to the owners of dirty cars who could be breaking the law.
On their Facebook page Newton Abbot police say: ‘While driving around recently we have spoken to a number of drivers about their number plates being so dirty we cannot read them.
‘While it’s not an offence to have a dirty car, it is an offence to not be able to read your number plate.
‘This is just a gentle reminder to all drivers to check their vehicles before setting off on their journey and ensure their plate can be read easily.’
