AN LPG fuelled car was severely damaged in a fire at NewtonAbbot early this morning (Monday).
Fire Control sent two fire engines in response to a number of calls, each giving details of the LPG fuelled vehicle.
A spokesperson said: ‘Upon arrival crews confirmed that the vehicle was well alight.
‘Two breathing apparatus and one hose reel jet was used to extinguish the fire.
‘Final details are that the car was severely damaged by fire, along with some damage to an adjacent wall.
’Traffic lights and a pedestrian crossing push button in the vicinity of the car also sustained some damage due to radian heat.’
