COVID cases continue to soar inTeignbridge, with an jump of more than 80 per cent over the previous seven days.

The latest Government figures show that between March 8 and 14, 1,300 people had a confirmed positive test result. This shows an increase of 82.3% compared to the previous seven days.

Between March 8 and 14 March 2022, there have been two deaths in Teignbridge within 28 days of a positive coronavirus test.

Torbay and South Devon NHS Foundation Trust reports there were 31 patients in hospital with coronavirus on March 8, but none of them was on a mechanical ventilator.
