ICYMI: Firefighters called to overturned vehicle at Staverton

AN overturned vehicle in Staverton saw firefighters from Buckfastleigh Fire Station scrambled.

Alongside their colleagues from Paignton Fire Station, Buckfastleigh firefighters were called to the incident on Sunday, October 15.

Upon arrival one male casualty who had been assisted from the vehicle by a member of the public, and was being given first aid on scene.

'The ambulance service soon arrived and took over patient care before taking him to hospital for some checks' a spokesman for Buckfastleigh Fire Station said.

'We made the vehicle safe and left the scene in the care of the police' the spokesman added.
