DAWLISH & District Snooker league held their team knockout final night as well as the league presentation night at Dawlish British Legion Club on Saturday, June 6.

Shaldon Conservative Club, who have three teams, all had very successful seasons finishing first, third and fourth.

The C-team won the League Knockout Cup by defeating Dawlish British Legion A-team 3-2 in the final.

Adam Shimmel won the first frame and Gavin Mawe won the second frame. Andy Fryer and Mark Cooper then both narrowly lost their frames leaving the score at 2-2.

Dave Anderson, with the clock well past 10.30pm, won the last frame to clinch the trophy for Shaldon C.

Shaldon Conservative Club A-team won the league for their first time, a fantastic achievement by James Langdale, David Heath, Jason Dowling, Clive Mackriell and Martin Doyle.

Shaldon B’s player Mark Cambell won the singles J Knapman Knockout Trophy and along with his partner Simon Savin, also won the Pairs Cup.
