Newton Abbot Rugby Football Club (NARFC) u10s squad welcomed the Rotarian Nick James to their training session.

NARFC are delighted that their sports grant application was successfully chosen to receive a funding donation towards training equipment, to benefit our playing groups.

The £1,000 sports award was split into five smaller awards and given by The Rotary Newton Abbot, who teamed up with Mid-Devon Advertiser.

Junior development of Rugby manager Simon Coburn applied for this award back in November 2021, evaluated by three Rotarians and editor of the paper Nick Knight, Simon was successfully contacted earlier in the month to be told it had been selected as one of the applications for the award.

Simon said: ‘We thank the Rotary Club of Newton Abbot for the continued generosity and building on the wonderful contribution towards the Christmas food hampers for the vulnerable within our community back in December.
